Midtown Community Health Center's (MTCHC) mission is to overcome barriers to health care access. MTCHC primarily serves working poor families in the Ogden and Weber County area. The Clinic is recognized for its high level of cultural competency and ability to provide affordable, quality health care. The number of medically underserved individuals in Ogden continues to rise.

Unique Characteristics

To promote its mission, MTCHC partners with other health care organizations to ensure that affordable health care services are available. MTCHC has co-located prenatal services with Weber Morgan Health Department to maximize resources and make more comprehensive prenatal care services available to a larger number of women.

MTCHC is partnering with the Weber State University Dental Hygiene program to make affordable dental and oral health services available. Through this creative partnership, MTCHC shares space with the Dental Hygiene program and is able to utilize hygiene students for cleanings, which allows more patients to have access to preventive oral health care.

MTCHC is the recipient of a federally-assigned medical provider. This medical doctor, board certified in internal medicine and pediatrics, is assisting MTCHC in expanding services to children and elderly individuals.

School-Based Health Care
MTCHC operates a school-based health center at Dee Elementary. The Dee Clinic provides comprehensive primary care services to 1,200 school children and families who would otherwise not have a medical home or access to health care services.

MTCHC is JCAHO accredited (Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations).
