On Monday, September 27, 2010, Green River Medical Clinic (GRMC) proudly showcased its’ expanded facility with a ribbon cutting ceremony and gathering.GRMC_Ribbon_Cutting_Cache_Valley_and_Utah_Navajo_030

The improved facility allows GRMC to provide improved services by expanding the number of patient exams rooms, creating a staff office space and building an storage area for emergency preparedness supply storage.

GRMC, as one of the smallest Community Health Centers in the nation, has been a Federally Qualified Health Clinic since 1985. The GRMC was founded in 1959 and has been the sole provider of healthcare to this frontier community for 51 years.

During the ceremony the Mayor of Green River, Pat Brady, praised the Clinic’s staff for doing a super job of providing exemplary care while working under less than ideal conditions.

This project’s completion is the result of months of collaboration and coordination between Health Resources and Service Administration (HRSA), the City of Green River, the Clinic, the designer and builders. GRMC Board Members, Medical Director, Kim McFarlane, Executive Director, Mary Winters and Glenn Baxter were instrumental in this facelift to the facility. Due to their hard work the project was completed on time and on budget.

Congratulations to the staff, Board and patients of Green River Medical Center on your beautiful renovation!
