The AUCH Workforce Development Program for Community Health Centers was developed in 2002 in response to President Bush's Health Center Growth Initiative, seeking to double the number of new and expanded health centers by the year 2006. AUCH recognizes the importance of retaining current health center staff and offers technical assistance to its member organizations by providing orientation for new providers and staff members, training and networking opportunities for health center providers and staff, and support for specialized learning teams.
Current learning
teams include the Billing Learning Team (BLT), the Financial
Directors Roundtable (FDR), and a Medical Directors Roundtable (MDR). AUCH also supports the goals and activities of the Clinicians for Healthy Utah Communities (CHUC) network.
AUCH maintains a library with resources available on a loan basis to any AUCH member. AUCH publishes a semi-annual clinician directory and acronym directory.
An orientation handbook published by AUCH is available for new community health center staff members.
