Dr. Sarah Woolsey Receives The Deborah Robinson Memorial Award

Dr. Sarah Woolsey, AUCH’s Medical Director, was recently honored with the Deborah Robinson Award from the Women Physician's Section of the Utah Medical Association (UMA) for leadership in medicine, creativity and an adventurous spirit.

The Deborah Robinson Memorial Award is given to UMA members that have demonstrated leadership in medicine, advocacy efforts, and caring , compassionate, and adventurous spirit. The Women's Physician section has chosen the leader yearly (save 2020 due to CV 19) since 2004.

Deborah Robinson was a physician leader and advocate. She held an M.D. degree from the University of Utah College of Medicine. and was Board Certified specialist in Internal Medicine serving in a private practice in Salt Lake City for over 24 years. She became a leader in women's health issues, served on the Intermountain Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, was President of the Salt Lake County Medical Society, and a Trustee for the UMA from 1995-2004 and a Delegate to the AMA from 1997-2001. She was known for her love of her family, travel and enjoyed dancing, biking, hiking, bowling, and scuba diving. She was respected by her peers, and they created this award to honor her memory.
