Wayne CHC's Donavan Smith Honored

March 20, 2023

AUCH is very happy to announce that Donavan Smith, Wayne Community Health Center’s Director of Pharmacy Services was honored with the National Association of Community Health Center's (NACHC) 2023 Elizabeth K. Cooke Advocacy MVP Award! The NACHC Grassroots MVP Award is named in honor of the late Elizabeth K. (Betsey) Cooke, whose constant effort and unflagging persistence as an advocate for Community Health Centers and health center patients set an example for all Health Center Advocates to follow. All honorees have gone above and beyond in their efforts to ensure that their Members of Congress actively supported health centers or to establish and expand grassroots advocacy efforts at their health center or in their state. Donavan has worked hard to preserve access to the #340B Drug Pricing Program in Utah and is always willing to share his expertise with health centers across the country. We are fortunate to know and work with him! Read more on the awards ceremony below.
