OVERVIEW:
Session 1 is a workshop intended for the whole healthcare team and will provide best practice competencies to create inclusive environments for patients of all backgrounds. We will review basic terminology, health disparities, experiences of discrimination in healthcare settings, and research-driven strategies to address health inequities. Session 2 will address medical prescribing and Gender Affirming Hormone Therapy 101. We will review how to assess readiness, start therapy, and monitor it.
