TARGET AUDIENCE: 
Day 1: This is for anyone who works at the health centers, day one, particularly for those who are new to the health centers/HIPAA or those who would like to advance their knowledge about HIPAA and telehealth.
Day 2: Clinical and IT staff, staff wanting to prepare for UDS+ and FHIR interoperability.

OVERVIEW: 
Day 1: Have you mastered HIPAA? As the landscape of healthcare has changed immensely and new technologies adopted, our breadth of knowledge about patient data privacy and security needs to be ever-expanding. Join AUCH and Mountain-Pacific Quality Health for Day 1 of a two-day HIPAA workshop. This workshop will cover the basics of HIPAA as well as take a deep dive into how to prepare for breaches and adapt to a changing landscape. This session is designed for new staff as well as those who are interested in expanding their knowledge. Day 2: We are now well past the April 2021 to October 2022 transition period when only a subset of your electronic protected health information (ePHI) was required to be shared. After December 31, 2022, your Certified EHR Technology (CEHRT) should also be offering additional interoperable functionalities. Yet there are still many confusions and concerns about sharing sensitive information, especially in behavioral health. What is a health center care team to do? In Day 2 of our HIPAA workshop, AUCH will be joined by HITEQ to discuss how to prepare for compliances to the CURES act information blocking regulations, especially in terms of documentation and notes.
