How are you preparing to compete in today’s evolving health care workforce environment? Every day, health centers are faced with new obstacles when it comes to recruiting and retaining the talent needed to carry out their mission. From competition from large institutions to rapidly increasing salaries, maintaining a healthy workforce is consistently cited as one of the biggest challenges to health center operations.

AUCH is bringing together national and local workforce leaders to address the essential components that health centers can implement to address the evolving needs of their workforce, patients, and community. This Summit, aimed at C-level leadership including CEOS, COOs, CFOs, and human resources, will focus on building a comprehensive workforce plan (defined here). Please see full agenda for the Summit schedule.

Following the Summit, AUCH will offer a one-day intensive workshop and one-on-one technical assistance for health centers to improve employee benefit packages and enhance health center team development in partnership with Edmund Ura of ElementOne Consulting. Edmund Ura is a compensation expert who works with health centers to build strategic plans for team structure and compensation to improve efficiency and morale using data driven best practices.

AUCH will also host a monthly Workforce Workgroup focused on helping health centers develop and implement a comprehensive workforce plan to guide current and future workforce initiatives. This plan includes continuous assessment, recruitment, retention, career ladders, career pathway development, and other steps to support each health centers’ strategic goals.
